Trophy Status

Stylist: Panos Yipanis

V Man pays homage to 20 years of Dolce and Gabbana menswear in their latest issue [#17]. I love.love.love the layering and the vintage clothing of choice::.

The Blue Lagoon

Photographer: Greg Kadel
Mannequin: Abbey Lee Kershaw

Like V Mag, Numero is another magazine that gives me editorials that push the envelope when compared to American Vogue. Their raunchy, risque, yet fashionable spreads are all i need to shed some light on a day full of work. This editorial, which is featured in their February issue is so spring/summer [twenty-ten] showcasing lace, chunky jewelry, and soft colors. Very reminiscent of the 1980's movie The Blue Lagoon starring Broke Shields and Christopher Atkins::.

School House Rules

Those who know me best know that I love some vintage regardless the era. So when i came across the Belt Book I just had to share this find. Although the product itself isn't vintage the concept is everything. The Little House on the Prairie reminiscent Belt Book is a great revival of an old fashion staple item::.

Another great find that gives that vintage field is the BookBook, a laptop cover intended for the MacBook, that resembles those classic books thats on your grandfathers bookshelf. Although it's no hi-tech security case it still provide one with the security they need because of its unique disguise; who really wants to read an old dusty book.lol::.

Walk In A Park[a]

Bottega Veneta's fall 2010 mens collection reminded us that one should never go without a good parka to keep them warm or dry. The entire collection really made my day with all the pompadours and blazers also; really James Dean meets Paul Varjak::.

Johnny Long

Don't you just hate it when you don't purchase something because a friend talks you out of it and then you see it on someone else [in this case on the runway] and then your like damn I was on that. Well that I happened to me. I stumbled across Dolce and Gabbana's new mens fall collecton and I just evaporated in my seat. Long johns fashionable? Who would have thought. I without a doubt love the look and I will probably be [rocquein] some before the sun decides to heat up the surface.

Inspire Moi: Nicolas Tavitian

Lately I have been so intrigued by the talented fashion illustrators there are out there like Phoks and Magda Antoniuk. They are always full of creativity and highlight important aspects of fashion. These illustrations were done by Nicolas Tavitian. Based in Paris, Nicolas has contributed to magazines like Esquire, Glamour, Rellik, WAD, and Nylon just to name a few. His work is an over flow of inspiration. POWXERZ::.

Fashionista 101

Stylist: Lori Goldstein
Photographer: Craig McDean
Mannequin: Rihanna
When it comes to celebrities with style Rihanna is without a doubt in the top five. I love how this W Mag spread really embodies the look that Rihanna is known for whether than taking away from it. And some of it is really Ertha Kit reminiscent::.

Ebony Belle

Stylist: Paul Bui
Photographer: Milos Malli
Mannequins: Kuei & Akeer

I am big fan of magazine with edgy, indie spreads. They widen the love for for fashion to many different crowds that one wouldn't expect to be interested. Stylist Paul Bui did a magnificent job when styling this spread for Australian magazine Oyster Magazine. Very L.E.S. Artist Santigold-ish. POWXERZ::.
